Dr. Jessica Massie

Dr. Jess grew up in the Midwest, spending most of her time outdoors and playing sports. She attended Indiana University, where she had the opportunity to play on the Women’s Tennis Team. After IU, she joined the Class of 2008 at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. It was there that she discovered just how important—and surprisingly complex—teeth really are! She spent countless hours in the pediatric clinic because, let’s be honest, kids are simply more fun.
After graduating from U-M, Dr. Jess continued her training at the University of California, San Francisco, where she specialized in pediatric dentistry and earned a Master’s degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences.
Dr. Jess and her husband later moved to Chicago before settling in Grand Rapids to start their family. They thought having kids would keep them young and cool (turns out, not quite!). With children ages 12, 10, and 6, Dr. Jess is well-versed in all things kid-related and truly understands that parenting is hard.
After more than a decade of practicing pediatric dentistry, Dr. Jess opened Eastown Pediatric Dentistry after falling in love with the community. She envisioned a neighborhood practice where patients are treated like family and where parents feel supported and informed. She is passionate about promoting oral health from an early age and helping families build lifelong healthy habits in a way that feels realistic and attainable. Her commitment to environmental stewardship is reflected throughout the office design and aligns with her philosophy that a preventive approach leads to more sustainable outcomes.
Dr. Jess feels incredibly grateful for every child she has the privilege of caring for. She stays current through continuing education and advances in technology that benefit her patients. She has been a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist since 2012 and also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She is dedicated to always going above and beyond to provide the highest level of pediatric dental care.
Thank you for trusting Eastown Pediatric Dentistry with your child’s oral health care. It truly takes a village, and we are honored to guide you and your family every step of the way.
Just for fun: Dr. Jess still enjoys tennis (and pickleball!), along with Peloton rides, running, and yoga. She loves being outdoors and can often be found walking her dog, chasing her kids around the playground, skiing, shooting hoops (move over, Steph Curry), or mountain biking in one of our local parks. She proudly cheers for both the Indiana Hoosiers and Michigan Wolverines—and to her Achilles’ dismay, she will never turn down a sprinting challenge.

Jaime
Born and raised in Michigan, Jaime lives in Jenison with her fiance and their son. You’ll find her welcoming families at the front desk and assuring each visit runs smoothly. Outside of work, she loves spending time on the water-whether boating or relaxing with friends and family. Jaime is an avid reader, a devoted coffee lover, and is always down for a game night. She’s thrilled to be a part of the EPD team and to help create a warm, welcoming environment for all our patients. Fun fact: Jaime is an Irish twin!
Caitlyn, RDH
Born in China and raised in Michigan, Cait lives in Alger Heights with her husband Drew and two rescue pitbulls, Murray (11) and Mona (8). She previously lived in Eastown six years ago and is thrilled to be back in the community.
Cait earned her degree in dental hygiene from Ferris State University, then passed her board exams to become a licensed dental hygienist. She has been practicing for over seven years, starting in general dentistry before discovering her passion for pediatric care. She loves making kids feel comfortable, explaining procedures in a friendly, non-scary way, and helping them build lifelong healthy habits.
Outside of work, Cait is a long-distance runner, with half marathons being her favorite distance. She also enjoys strength training, biking on her Peloton, crocheting, painting her nails, playing video games, and cheering for Arsenal Football Club. A self-proclaimed foodie, she loves exploring local restaurants and hunting for the perfect hamburger.
Cait is excited to be part of EPD and to make dental visits fun and stress-free for children while reconnecting with the Eastown community!
Dre, RDA
As a passionate advocate for children’s dental health, I love working with kids and finding creative ways to promote oral health to our patients and their families every day. Over the years, my dedication to prevention has only grown, and I’m more committed than ever to educating both parents and children in hopes that our team can be a trusted resource and support system for families.
My name is Andrea, but I go by Dre. I’m a Registered Dental Assistant and have been licensed since 2017. I’ve worked in the dental field for about eight years, with six of those years focused on pediatrics. This experience has given me a strong foundation and a wealth of knowledge that I bring to my role every day. I truly enjoy working with our amazing patients and watching their growth with each visit. I strive to explain every procedure in simple, age-appropriate terms so our patients feel safe, comfortable, and confident.
Earning the trust of both parents and children is a top priority. Building that connection helps ensure a positive and successful dental experience every time.
As a mom to a four-year-old daughter who has experienced dental anxiety, I’ve gained valuable insight into helping children navigate those feelings. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is watching our young patients overcome challenges with the combined support of their families and our team. We all work together to make their visits as stress-free and positive as possible.
A few fun facts about me: My daughter, Alessi, keeps me busy and constantly on the move. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, which helps me connect with diverse families and ensure everyone feels welcome and understood. My favorite season is fall—I love the changing leaves and fun seasonal activities—but summer is a close second, especially because I get to enjoy my favorite treat: an upside-down banana split!
I’m excited to get to know you and your little ones, and I hope our team can show your family just how fun a visit to Eastown Pediatric Dentistry can be. I can’t wait to see you soon!

Dr. Jessica is WONDERFUL! She has taken care of our kiddos over the years and I trust her completely. Her kind, gentle, and fun approach is exactly what we were looking for in a pediatric dentist. She always takes the time to talk with us and make the kids feel special. The kids love her and I would HIGHLY recommend her for anyone looking for a dentist. -C.M.
